"Remembering what brings us together"

We've been through much separation and loss these past two years, but what always remains are the things that bring us together: our love of Cuong Nhu, of teaching, our students and classmates, of sharing, training, and growth.

Until we can all be together again in Raleigh, let's meet together on Zoom one more time. Students of all ranks - including kids - are welcome!

At our 7pm (Eastern) Opening on Friday, May 27, everyone is invited to join together in a performance of Taikyoku/Kata 1 in honor of Grandmaster Quynh. Whether you're in a group at your dojo, or alone in your living room or back yard, all ranks can be part of this single worldwide kata, expressing our love of the martial art to which Grandmaster Quynh dedicated his life.

Following this performance and opening remarks, there will be:

  • A video slideshow honoring all those promoted to Black Belt or Dan rank during the pandemic.
  • A general membership meeting of the Cuong Nhu Martial Arts Association announcing some important business (watch your email for details)
  • Zoom Social Time with several breakout rooms for visiting with your friends and colleagues, including "Old Video Theater" showing some classic old clips.
On Saturday you'll be able to attend classes all day (9am to 6pm Eastern) on six Zoom Channels. Register to receive the final schedule with Zoom links!
  • At the 6:15pm closing, take part in Grandmaster Quynh's special "Going the Distance" demo led by Sensei Ming Fung.
  • After the closing, once again visit with your friends near and far in a series of Zoom social rooms.
